Hi guya Basic freshen-up with performance in mind. Stock pistons/rods ARP fasteners rod/main/head/flywheel Upgraded cam and springs Billet oil pump gear Metal head gasket Apart from forgies, is there anything missing here for a reliable 450rwhp? Guys seem to do it on unopened stockers so I'm thinking this should be a nice balance between a wrecker motor and spending a fortune.

turbo, exhaust, fuel pumps, fuel injectors, catch can breather system, maybe ignition system, billet axles, tail shaft loop, tailshaft, transmission strengthening, larger oil pan, block prep work. btw, I have a set of JE (SRP) forgies, I need to reluctantly part with if you want a good starting point for performance freshen up.

I'm more after parts of the long motor that are likely to fail (or cause issues) on a moderately high power level (say 450rwhp), or areas that are "common knowledge" as needing attention that I might not know about. Upgraded oil pan is a good point, it was something I hadn't really thought of until now. I've been in the car scene for a long time but haven't played with VLs since back when 10s & 11s were rare and there were only a couple of cars running 9s!
