Hi guys people sometimes identify a genuine turbo block by the A8 after the engine number this is a HOLDEN identification number I also dont believe water and oil lines on series II blocks are a true indicator of an authentic vlturbo block what are the GENUINE RB30 turbo casting block numbers from NISSAN which are on the passenger side of the block These are located on the passenger/exhaust side of the block The casting numbers on my block (passenger) 67s ( at the top ) 6051D ( underneath ) 1 or I ( next to the oil return at the bottom ) Question 2 ) how many kgs should a factory vl turbo bare block weigh ? Bringing this back up. Is there any clarification to the casting numbers? Besides having an “8” or a “6” which anybody could stamp onto any rb30 Nissan skyline block with inputs for water/oil lines, do actual “A8” stamped blocks have different casting numbers compared to an “A6” or skyline block? Is there information in the service books?
