Hey all, I broke a bolt / pipe when i was pulling my AC condenser out while fitting a slim fan to it. So the last few months ive had it in the shed. I went to Natrad today and they kinda said its not worth fixing (coz rust etc. inside). Natrad couldnt give me a new one either as it wasnt in their system anymore. I got on ebay, and found that there really isnt any options for buying a new condensor for VL's So i started looking into high pressure crimping and thought about maybe fixing / cleaning it up myself.... I decided to pull apart the dryer and lines from the condenser... Well, apart from fighting the rust holding the nuts / lines on, every connection was coated with scum and rubber seals, forget about it..... So my current gear is ready for the bin. My question (after my long rant) was.... ebay seem to have a lot of "other" commodore condensers, sometimes with dryers.... If we forget the mounting issues (i could make brackets or whatever to fit it) Is there any reason why i couldn't use a new VY condenser + dryer on my old VL Sanden AC pump? forget the hose issues for now, as i would need to take care of that myself... i just wonder if it would work, or infact work better than factory ? I forgot to mention that i pulled the electrical end off the dryer, and thats lookin pretty scummy too, so would that work in a non-VL dryer?
