Removed this from the box.
Mechanic wound it out 2mm but didn't place a washer underneath to secure it. any way broke clutch fork some how.
I'm tipping up weather to get ripped for a $30+ Bolt off eBay that may not fit and that looks pissweak .
Is this a standard clutch pivot ball came out of my MX7? I'm thinking wind it out and chuck 3 washers under it, so that it winds in 4 threads.
How the mechanic left it..
Need advice ASAP cheers

Cool man, thanks for your help.
I'll just wind it out I tryled the contact point when I wound the ball out and found it only needs to come out a bout 4-5mm. The eBay adjustable ones look like twigs.
I gave all my old lunch gear to a local guy into the RBs and in returne he's going to give me a hand with the box. So easy to network in small towns good people up here.

I may miss the cruise but I'm planning to hold a swap meet and charity car wash up here with the NW car club and a few other organizations up here.
I mean every one sells stuff on Facebook but it's a pain and not as fun as a show n shine with some car parts for sale.
i lived in Karratha for quite a few years :P, the car boot/show is a good idea.
man ive never seen a clutch fork let go like that, can you chuck up some pics of it out of the car once its all done?

Sure,
hope to pull the box back and chuck in an MF5 fork.
Hopefully the mx7 carrier will fit the fork.
If that fails I get the fork welded/reinforced.
The car is stock, I went such a HHD clutch because I wanted to avoid slipping lol.
I may just get a HD clutch and start over.
I just want to enjoy it at any cost.
I thought I had damaged the clutch fork on my MX7 with a HD clutch and began looking for an easy upgrade. (my problems turned out to be something else in the end)
I cross referenced part numbers from Nissan for clutch forks and the R33 GTST box and 350Z forks are the same from what I can gather.
The 2004 onwards 350Z forks are upgraded to a solid cast unit because the earlier 2003 pressed ones used to break.
If you can establish that the MF5/MX7 is the same as the R33 GTST then you can used the beefed up Z one off the shelf from Nissan. An excellent upgrade that should never break

Thanks for the info
A mate of mine has a 33 gtst box so ill see if he has a fork. I just received an Mf5 clutch for the other day to compare.
I'm going back to HD instead of the HHD, My car is stock atm any way, and I have a 300HP clutch in it don't want anything over 220kw any way
There's a ton of pars that are interchangeable, like clutches. you can buy them cheap from America around 160 for a HD clutch.
always search part numbers descriptions arnt worth reading these days
