gents, So every man and his dog has either gone GTX35 or GTX42 within the last couple years, but has anyone gone the GTX4088 since its release? Read some internet posts that its only few 100 rpm laggier than it little brother the X35 and I would imagine it being capable of 500+ rwkw on SOHC rb30. Anyones experiences?

Cracking turbo, would be my choice for a street car that you want to run low 9's as well but not have the lag of a 42

bloody expensive from what I've seen though, GCG were chasing close to 3k for it.

GCG are always expensive over the counter. If a gtx42 is laggy you need to sort your converter out.

its only t4 flange isnt it? anyway its got some tough competition in that size frame, all the big players make killer stuff in that size cheers darren

Id try one, but over the equiv precision... it's probably not the best turbo you could buy for the cash.

I'm looking at trying one, just not 100%. Don't want too much more lag than my internal gate gt3582, and e85 isn't an option. Twincam 30. One of these or 6466..

Why not try a precision 6766 with an .82 rear? Or smaller pretty sure they come in .63 rear. Just something to think about. Sent from my HTC_PN071 using Calais Turbo mobile app

One of these or 6466.. the pt6466 or 6266 in a .82 t3 might be your best bet without changing manifolds or FP3786 (gtx4088 is only t4?) hypergears sell gtx style 3582s with bigger 64mm exhaust wheels ..6264 aswell cheap and 6764's in ford t3 1.06 housings cheers darren

How do you think the 6466 would go in the .82 t3? The reason i was looking at going the t4 was going to a full twin scroll setup, for hopefully more response and power.. Or is their not much benefit in going to a twin scroll setup? The manifold on it now is good quality high mount (t3 single entry)

Xchase on here has one . Wilst on kill you will have high backpressure with a t3 housing They spool quick and would still run low 9s in a vl on kill How fast you want to go.. if moneys no concern the t4 setup is probally the go Cheers Darren

I've hopefully got buyer for the old setup if I decide to go that way. I'm looking at the 6466 and gtx4088 golebys kits Making 440hp at the moment on a hub dyno on 22psi.. Id like closer to 500hp on 24 ish psi if thats possible I'm not quite sure. 98 pump. And as far as times go, I would like to be able to run 10's in street trim, (full exhaust etc etc) just some et streets.

You'll do it without trying. I went 10.4@140 with a 1.7 60ft with a tiny 235 ET with a GT35.
