I recently replaced my entire fuel system internal - external pumps, filter and fuel hoses.
Jacked her up today to see how things are going and found that all my fuel hoses are cracked (tiny little cracks running the entire length of every hose)
Like to add
I used fuel hose 5/16
No hose is stressed or exposed to any condition other than what they were designed for.
Stock pumps.
95-98 oct
Car has done under 50k/m sines fuel lines were replaced.
Do it once, do it right. Right?
It's a pain but I'm more pissed about the fact that the lines say fuel hose..
Any ideas
I'm thinking **** quolity? But how could they stuff up fuel hose rubber compound?
Stupid to think I need fuel injector line/ high pressure hose for a fuel hose..
Input appreciated
Cheers
I'd say it would be the quality. had a similar issue with mine(cracking) and the fuel eventually seeped through as it became porous, that was supposed to be fuel rated hose but lasted like a week!
Replace it with some good stuff generally sprints or places like that sell lengths of hose, i haven't had any problems with theirs
Repco lol. Cheers. Will do for another month just don't want schist getting to the injectors!
Any one know a good brand bit short on automotive part retailers up here?
Repco sell Gates hose which is supposed to be good quality.
The EFI hose they sell is rated for E85 too, however, I had the same issues as you with small cracks, and a mate of mine had the same issue. We both used Gates hose.
Do it once, do it right, get a teflon braid hose, they're expensive, but won't perish like the Gates hose does.
I did not get it from repco my mistake.
I think these company's should be held accountable!
God knows how many cars are driving on our roads with this type of **** quolity hose risking peoples safety, lives and rides!
We shouldn't have to go and fork out our hard earned for expensive hosing to do a simple job like transferring fuel.
No one looks under my car and I don't care what it looks like under there as long as it does the job it's supposed to do and that's the bottom line.
I pay because I believe in consumer rights and protection. I won't just give in and fork out more cash to the same company that screwed me over.
The CEO of these companies should be whipped with fuel hoses and earn there keep.
The more people take it in the rear and go oh well it's just dodgy, the more these companies will get away with it.
we are all seeing more n more cheap and nasty stuff these days and our jobs are going off shore to make the ****. It's a crying shame.
I'm not rasist just realist, hell we sell them the stuff to make it twice as cheap twice as nasty n buy it back for twice as much lol.
Any way I contacted the manufacturer and made them aware.
If it's fuel hose call it "fuel hose", if it breaks in a month call it "breaks in a month"
Cheers for the input.
ive just been buying over the counter efi hose. hope i've been given the right stuff...
but yeah the basics ive come across is theres efI and theres lower pressure hose
Will it's stated (don't know about rated) to 100 PSI so I doubt pressure issues are at fault? Although I'm not an expert on the pressure fluctuations regards stock fuel pumps.
I have used similar hose for the lines above the tank and we'll, I hope they're ok as I'm not pulling that thing down again.

Also noticed diff oil dripping/accumulating were the tail shaft bolts to the diff. Any ideas- seal or something? Cheap easy to fix?
Can't tell we're it's escaping from exactly but my guess is it's coming from the little shaft connecting to the tail shaft...
