hey guys im currently buliding a RB30DET to go into a VL. some build info: RB26 head with some work done (port and polish, oversized valves, Kelford or JUN 280 IN/EX cams) on a forged rb30 bottom end with a Built C4 behind it. it will be running pump E85. Im looking at a GTX45 (mate has one from a previous project that fell thru) with a pair of TurboSmart 40mm CompGates on a custom exhaust manifold. It will have either a RIPS or Hypertune intake Manifold with single 102mm throttle body. My aim is to get 700rwhp @ 18psi and over 900rwhp @ 28-30psi. i understand ill probably cop abit of hate and "your dreaming" but you gotta aim for something so why not aim big. as you can see im willing to spend the money. my questions are: 1. what injectors and Fuel setup would people recommend for this application? i was thinking 1600cc IDs with a 2.5litre surge tank running a 044 lift pump and twin 044 pumps from the surge to the engine. 2. what Diff set up do people use for power like this? just so people know the car will always be in full street trim (leather seats, Small sound system, baby seat haha etc). what i was thinking is; -Macdonalds bros 4 link with adjustable coilovers -9" diff housing with billet 31 spline axles. 3. what Diff gears and Stall Converter combination have people found good to use for applications like this? I was going to go 3.9 with a 3800 stallie but im open to change on that as i havent purchased cams yet so My Torque Converter bloke cant give me his suggested combination yet. The car will mostly be for Dyno and Strip work tho it will get its days out on the street here and there Cheers. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Spent today looking at the fuel system side of things. cleared up afew questions but raised a few more in regards to the lift pump, ive been looking into possibly going with a Walbro InTank with a 450 lph Free Flow Rate. Now Ive decided ill use IDs for the Injectors as ive seen there reviews when on high HP applications and when used with E85, the decision to be made here is whether to use 1600cc or 2000cc. Ill be using either a 3L or 5L Aftermarket Industries Surge tank. ive narrowed the feed pump down to a Holley Dominator billet fuel pump 12-1800 http://www.summitracing.com/int/part...1800/overview/ (http://www.summitracing.com/int/parts/hly-12-1800/overview/) Ive looked at a Aeromotive Pro Series in line fuel pump 11102 as well. Both pumps look like they'll do the job, but the The Holley is nearly half the price of the Aeromotive. Im leaning towards the Holley 12-1800 over the Aeromotive because i like the twin pump design, it will get some street use (hopefully Some weekends and the occasional weekday) so it allows me to use one pump for cruising and both pumps for the fun stuff! So if i go with the 12-1800, ill be using -10 Braided fuel feed line through the car with a 100 micron filter before and after the feed pump. Ill use a Holley Dominator Billet By-Pass FPR 12-848 as recommended to use with the 12-1800 pump. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
