Hi guys, im building a vl ls1, everything is in but the only thing i had trouble with was the rack shaft i got the rack in but trying to put my steering column in with the intermediate shaft... we managed to get in on but cant push the rest on needs another 20mm to bolt up... what way is the to push it in? How did u guys put your shaft on?

have you tried leaving shaft on rack.then unbolt rack then fit shaft then rebolt rack up?

^ if that fails use a slide hammer

I think thats what ill have to do unbolt it all and connect to the rack.... thanks for the info mate

all good.if I remember I think I dont it that way.

Hey guys ive got the shaft on half way still need to push it on more... the shaft is still touching the exhaust, will this clear if i put it all on properly?
