Thinking going GTX42, currently run a journal bearing 42 which has got my car into the 8's already but was considering what many would think an upgrade to GTX42 however I'm not that impressed by a lot VL's that currently run them. Considering the extra investment, would like to hear peoples thoughts or experiences especially anyone that has gone from a 42 journal or standard roller to the GTX series 42? Cheers

I know one 26/30 making 500+rwkw on a GT35X.. If you want a sneak a 10th or 2, it is a bolt on proposition.

Yes have heard very good things about the borgie turbo's, but I'm trying to avoid a complete turbo swap, maybe a GT45 comp wheel might work well.

gt45 comp wheel wil be a laggy bitch with that turbine driving it. as for gtx i have no idea,in theory they are a good thing, but there are so many variables, mainly probally coming down to ex housing choice and what the backpressure is looking like at the power your making now.. the gtx copy comp wheels are cheap though to retrofit. ask tooky.. cheers darren

My point is If you want the maximum out of that turbo frame you will have to go ball bearing / billet. ---------- Post added 29-06-14 at 21:06 ---------- I run the gt42r now and have just gone a gtx and I'll let you know the difference once it's been out on.

If you did consider changing turbos i'd recommend seeing Joe and getting a Precision.
