Hi everyone, I thought I would put this out there , took my car for a drive yesterday and it started to run rough at idle . MMMMM I thought this was strange as it has never done this before the idle would drop and run rough . I noticed that the percentage on the hand controller for the TPS switch was at 30% , my question is what does the microtek use the TPS signal for ,
1. to enrichen the mixtures or is it a reference for some thing else, it only does it intermittently. the car still drove normally and had plenty of power. I pulled apart the connector all look ok , the car runs a T10S with a micrtoch loom any thoughts guys
It might need re setting, there is a process to setup the Microtech, it involves using the key and different throttle positions. Maybe flick them an email if you don't have the manual.
Yeah I had this same issue with my LT12 but it can be re set on the hand controller. you just set the points for throttle closed and wide open and it fills in the gaps.
As above, talk to microtech and they will help you through it
ok I called Microtech, and ask them what happens to the ecu when it showing 30% at idle, the response was it goes into the load map therefore causing it to run rough.
I have fitted a new TPS switch and calibrated it myself I have not driven it yet I will keep u updated thanks
