Black Calais Turbo

Hi, Thought i would do a write up on my VL Calais. Hope you like it. 1987 VL Calais Turbo PAINT - 2 pack metallic black BODY - standard - Sunroof ENGINE - 3.0L turbo GEARBOX - Manual MODS - tx1 crow cam, Plasmaman plenum - intercooler and pipping with ATMO bov, Plazmaman billet 67mm throttle body, Twin Au thermo fans with Davis Craig electronic sensor, Walbro GSS342 in tank pump - Bosch 044 external pump, 2 stage manual boost controller Hypergear ATR43G3 turbo (Low mount). Thanks for taking the time to read this thread, I have put many hours into this car and I'm sure there is many more to come! Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Looks nice, original Calais turbo? If it was mine I'd be putting Calais rear garnish and tail lights on! Keep up the good work

the previous owner, put a genuine turbo engine in it, so not original. But I guess that gives me the chance to mess around with it a little. Thanks for the comment

Looks Nice Clean and tidy good find! Not a fan of the VT calais badge on the garnish!

thanks for the comments guys, I have contemplated putting the original badges and garnish on but I don't mind that its a little different (I do have the original stuff though). In regards to the boot, its amazing what you can do with some particle board and carpet. only took up one weekend and about $100 from bunnings!

Car looks mean. Spray the badge black? with respect, it looks a bit bold and the beautiful in silver. I like black vls. They can look very smart or very mean - but very dirty, if you dont keep em clean lol
