Does anyone know if you can get anywhere new gearknobs for the MF5 gearbox? Or one similar that will screws on the same as per the factory one. Maybe Nissan still have them available?

Doubt nissan would have one as the car was made by holden.

I know, but the R31 had the same engine, gearbox, which were made by Nissan. I would assume they used the same manual gearknob, and Nissan would be a better chance of having this part still available than Holden.

Ive used VL shift knobs on both RB20 and RB25 shift shafts, so no reason why you can't do the opposite

great thanks, should be a lot easier to find a new R33 gear knob than a VL one. Cheers,
