Gday, Just wondering what oil pressures other peoples vlt's have at idle and at higher revs...when at full operating temp?
If you have an aftermaket pump/relief spring, or have larger bottom end clearances, or run a different viscosity oil...pls specify that.
Cheers.

heres what i have
crank underground
rb26 oil pump-short spring removed
crank coller
penrite hpr-30
nismo veruspeed filter
38psi idle
64psi wot
but heres something interesting i used a repco filter (for convienience!!) at last oil change and then went for a dyno run and these were the pressures at operating temp.
46psi
78psi wot
nothing popped or split but now i have put another nismo one on and its same as previously
i was surprised at the differences in pressure

Single cam, tomei oil pump with only the softest spring in and no shims, hpr15, I forget what the clearances were, ryco filter. When hot at idle around 50ish, I watched it on one run Saturday night and was sitting in the mid to high 80s from about 6500 onwards.

As long as your making 10psi of pressure for every 1000 rpm it's fine

I have a full forged motor, Heaps of headwork all the usual bull**** but run a standard vlt oil pump. Runs 15-40w oil hot idle it sits on 20psi
