Gday, my vlt cuts out/splutters everytime i turn right? Its so annoying chugging thru intersections...as soon as i straighten up its fine? Left turns are fine too.. Ive checked all elec possibillities, and fuel press seems to b fine. Doesnt do it when turning the wheels right when stationary. Anyone experienced this? Fuel system: stock in tank lift pump feeding into 1lt boot mounted surge tank, and an 044 pumping to the fuel rail. Press reg has 40psi. Any help appreciated. Cheers.

Could be the hose that links the in tank pump to the pick up and when turn right cant pick up fuel ---------- Post added 29-12-13 at 18:28 ---------- An 044 will flow 3 L/M so a faulty pick up will empty your surge tank in no time causing surge issues when turning and fuel moves away from the pick up

And i can definately see what u mean about the fuel moving away from the pickup. With that in mind tho...its still a bit strange how the surge could be even close to empty when its been idling at a red light? Id expect it to be full since the fuel is level for a min or two while waiting?..but i guess if the split was big enough tho. But its definately my next check..thanks Since ill be in the tank checking... it possible to remove the pump from the sender assembly..then attach an external lift pump that connects to the pumpless sender assembly? Reason i ask is because i have a carter black lift pump new i havent used. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Im aware it says "Built VLT" but I'll ask if your running an air flow meter? My brothers was doing the exact same and after changing fuel pumps etc. it turned out to be that

But how does a mount cause that type symptom? we had one at work that had a broken mount, every time the engine would rev or if turning a corner the engine would move enough to expose a tear in the intake pipe after the AFM. This split/tear happened because of the broken mount. Made it stall every time!
