Don't waste your time mate . If you want a cai , do one through the bottom of the air box . But I'd be surprised if that will make a difference either

Cold air intakes do very little, if not lose horsepower as opposed to your factory cold air intake Unless you're making 500hp and have no room for a factory set up, IMO I would leave it as is

just run a k&n panel as a pod will just soak up the hot engine bay air, puit some extractors on it, go manual if its not already, 3.9 diff gears and just drive it dude. dont go hacking it up you'll regret it later on down the track.

Yeah ive been thinking alot, but i cant do extractors cause i will Be hassled, but i wanna get a bigger manifold that will fit under the heat shield to look stock and yeah i wanna do a 3.9 diff lsd, what do u reckon will Be better a b&m shifter or manual conversion? Why cant you do extractors? They arent illegal. As long as you meet the decibel requirements, the cops cannot defect you. This is about the only engine modification you can do to an NA VL that is worthwhile (you could do camshaft but you will regret it when you need to change it later after you turbocharge it.) You dont need a "bigger manifold" for your stock RB30, it's not a 454 big block. Manual conversion will make the most difference to your NA VL, as long as it has a good street clutch like an exedy HD. That, and 3.9's. Sorted. Drive it on your P's until you get your blacks. Or you could just turbo it now and be done with it, take the risk. I probably would if i was on my P's again. NA RB30's just arent worth it imo. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Cause epa dont like extractors and u cant do any mods to the engine on your p's such as extractors, i want a bigger manifold only if i do a cam and few other mods, cause of i keep the stock manifold on it it will probobly choke the engine up, but thats all for the future im not 100% on anything yet, so i might just he happy with a manual conversion, r u 100% that i can do exractors on my p's? ---------- Post added 29-12-13 at 21:30 ---------- I mean as in exhaust manifold if u were getting confused with the inlet manifold

yeah, i understood. I doubt you will get that far tbh. If you are talking about waiting til you are off your P's (5 years by my count), by that time you'll probably have been in a VLT with a warmed over or mild turbo setup and realise how much of a waste it is to build an NA RB30. Also to even warrant bigger pipes it would want to be the loudest, highest compression undriveable pig of an NA engine, and then it would probably max out at like 200kw.... I think you'd get more attention from the police doing this, compared to a low mount GT35 turbo and 350rwkw. It would also be cheaper turboing it. $4000 budget will go a long way towards a decent turbo setup. It's also alot of money for someone who is 15, and it would get you more power than you can probably handle with your experience anyway.

Yeah fair enough man, most people saying the same, i plan to buy a worked engine and tranny amd do a straight swap into my vl, so thats y im not reaaly fuss bout putting a little money into it to make it at least faster then most other na vl's, but i havnt properly driven it yet so i might just be happy with a good diff and transmition Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

This thread is absurd Will you're a dreamer. You've already decided that you need more power and you don't even have L plates let alone a license. Get your hand off it and grow up or you'll end up like Be-Hating on here

Really dude , learn how to drive first . Forget trying to make it go harder than it does , you'll have a tough time keeping it away from poles and off gutters as it is . There's got to be a dreamer every school holidays asking ridiculous questions . Thanks Will98 , these school holidays you're the CT dreamer .

Get your hand off it and grow up or you'll end up like Be-Hating on here Lmao.. What do you expect from a 15yr old kid? Lol Will, trust me.. Your stock n/a VL will be rocket fast considering you don't even have a license or driving experience.. Drive it as is before you start chasing power and prematurely kill yourself due to lack of experience.
