Hey, does anyone know what the specs are for the block fitting for the oil return on an A6 "series 2" block? and where i could get them? ebay ? i have tried searching and can only really see braided kits with the banjo's but not the block bolt/adapter Also, I am not sure where i plumb the water return back into ? Ive read lots of info on it, is there a general "best practice" spot guys are using? Thanks

ok, cool thanks for that. I bought a gasket / washer kit off ebay on the weekend, so i might just replace my bolts (they are rusty) and maybe take in the block blocking bolt i remove from my NA block and see what they have... Any advice on the water return line?

3/4 BSP for the oil return. 3/4 NPT is the same TPI etc and will fit. Oil Feed is M12 x 1.25, water is M14 x 1.5. As for water, you run it around the back of the head and plug it into the coolant there. It will be easier for you to find a photo, for the exact location. Are you doing it on a stock motor?

Dute57TT: Yea, its a high-comp setup. and i do have a block thats suitible for it. and have the standard turbo manifold, stock turbo, oil feed/return lines and water feed. I bought a gasket kit off ebay which comes with the dump / front gaskets, and about 6x (brass washers for each banjo) - its just the ones i got with the used setup are pretty horrible, rusty water look to them, and then because my block has the plug for the oil return i need to get some bolt/adapter for the oil return (like your message states) I'll send u a PM to see if you can hook me up with some stuff, ive seen your parts for sale on here.

Its a tight fit mate on the stock stuff to make it work with AN style fittings. You kind of want something like this http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/BRASS-MAL...c639fcf&_uhb=1 (http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/BRASS-MALE-HOSE-FITTING-3-4-HOSE-TO-1-2-BSP-BMT3412-/260858683343?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item3cbc639fcf&_uhb=1) But in a 3/4 BSP, not 1/2" BSP and you want a straight or 45 deg hose end. The factory oil return line comes in a 90 Deg, and that makes life easy. If you got it on a 45, you could use AN-12 Hose and it would do it easy. Possibly a short 3/4" NPT to AN-12 to a AN-12 90 Deg and a pipe style turbo oil return, it won't be a straight fit though, you will need to shorten them for sure. It is the bend radius that kills it. I've got copper washers in stock, or you can get them from Supercheap/Autobahn etc You really want copper washers, softer and seal better.

I think im actually going to start the conversion soon, so i will have a look on the weekend and see what I have, but thanks for the info on the threads and sizes, as for AN style, im not really too fussed, i might just get it working with as basic/stock as possible at first and then maybe try pretty it up later on with nice stuff... That ebay link will help me with my custom intake pipe too as i cant find a stock one FS and will just make something up with some 90deg silicone joiners and straight pipe, but that fitting, ill tap a thread and it will be perfect for my catch can / oil breather suction port Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
