hi. iv got a sept 87 vl Calais with a factory turbo engine a8 turbo 5 speed manual. its running really rich after its been idling for couple minutes. it will slowly get richer and richer and start idling up and down. had a computer hooked up which came back as map sensor. we replaced that and the icv. hasn't changed. it has a adjustable fuel regulator. any ideas would be great?

Im by no means an expert on this, as i am yet to go through the ECU diag steps on mine. However, i did notice mine run much nicer after i gave it new plugs (NGK BCPR7ES-11), leads (i got Top Gun 500Ohm resistance leads compared to my confirmed 15,000Ohm leads that were on there) and a new fuel filter (mine was black and almost muddy) I also did the usual cleaning of every electrical contact/plug with contact cleaner. My 02 readings seem to be a little happier too (well, as much as a crappy A/F gauge could show - yes i know they are not really a good diag. tool unless they are a wideband O2 meter, but mine seems less "christmas tree" flashing and a little more in the Stoich range.) Perhaps the ECU/AFM fuel adjustment ideas from this post? http://www.calaisturbo.com.au/showth...cu+error+codes (http://www.calaisturbo.com.au/showthread.php?t=165781&highlight=ecu+error+codes) Is your temp gauge doing anything odd? or all that looks good?
