Here is my Wagon that i just recently bought and planning on doing up Make / Model: Berlina Station Wagon Colour:Gold Bodykit: Factory Engine Type: Rb30e Engine Mods:Trusty ol pod filter lol Exhaust: Standard Gearbox: Auto Diff: Open Brakes: Drum rears disc front Suspension: Standard Wheels/Tyres: Standard 14inch rims still on holden hubcabs Interior: Beige/brown Stereo:Sony Other Mods: Tinted windows Future mods: Lowered,LSD,Manual Conversion, Rims, Brakes,Cam and eventually turbo (age and money stopping that for now as im only 17) Bought this girl couple weeks ago shes standard as apart from a pod filter which the previous owner had installed. The panels and interior is in pretty good condition for its age few dings here and there but nothing major. Now time for the bad news couple days ago driving home from course (automotive) it decided it didn't want to idle and started running really rough confused to what it was and plenty of head scratching couldn't work out what it was. Turns out it was the head gasket blown which was strange because 2 days earlier i had just done Cylinder leakage tests compression tests as part of an assessment for my course and it all came back fine in fact it was showing very promising signs for its age. Anyway Friday morning i then completed another compression test and cylinder leakage test to find no compression on number 5 and 6 and 100% leakage so i then took the head off to find the gasket completely blown between 5 and 6th cylinder. So im giving her a birthday over the next month or so including new Cambelt Waterpump Radiator (one in it now has a split tank) Obviously Head gasket set, Plane,Head studs,Valve grind, and exhaust studs as the old ones are F*(ked Also doing all oils and filters Here is some pictures of my girl (http://s1084.photobucket.com/user/Mathew_Greek/media/2013-10-24185920.jpg.html) (http://s1084.photobucket.com/user/Mathew_Greek/media/20131022_171405.jpg.html) (http://s1084.photobucket.com/user/Mathew_Greek/media/20131022_171421.jpg.html) (http://s1084.photobucket.com/user/Mathew_Greek/media/20131102_142843.jpg.html) (http://s1084.photobucket.com/user/Mathew_Greek/media/2013-11-02140824.jpg.html) (http://s1084.photobucket.com/user/Mathew_Greek/media/2013-11-04081633.jpg.html) Will get more photos and will continue to post photos as progress is made although money is a bit tight due to course and only having a part time job Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

looks great mate. geth the standard airbox back in with the standard cold air intake and a nice clean K&N or BMC re-usable highflow air filter. it won't make as much whiney intake noise but it'll be much nicer. while you are at the service i'd recommend all the fluids oil / brake / gearbox and maybe new air filter leads spark plugs. dissy cap etc. all of this costs a bit when you are 17 but will be well worth it. I'd also suggest suspension componentry and rubbers and brakes. all small stuff but brakes are easy to rebuild once someone shows you how and the vl turbo style fronts are the same as vr vs v6 so easily accessible and cheap upgrade. good luck! check out my thread for ideas i have one for my na which is gone and one for my wagon turbo. theres a lot of little projects in there.

so spark at coil... is it turning over? might be that you do hve spark but the timing hasn't been set properly. that or something to do with the dissy / leads.

Hey guys haven't posted for a while but vl has been causing me nothing but trouble but things are looking up I've replaced all wheel bearings and been doing bits and pieces here and there its currently off the road because of a blown transmission but don't worry manual conversion is on its way. Also some Muppet reversed into me causing some front end damage the main reason for taking it off the road. I'll put photos of the damage up and progress on my upgrades in next week or so.
