Hey guys just wondering what brake booster setups people are running with 308 and 304 motors in their vl's. I just fitted a vs plastic booster and vt master to my calais and dont have any clearance between the booster and drivers side rocker cover. I am converting from rb30 turbo to 308 and dropped the new motor in yesterday. Any one else used a vs booster with a v8? Kind of hoping i can find a solution to this because i dont really want to pull the motor back out and change the booster over again. Cheers guys

Do you have aftermarket rocker covers? if so you will have to take a scollop out of the cover where the booster sits.... I have bought alloy rocker covers for mine and am going to drop the motor in the next few weeks, im anticipating that its going to hit and will take a bit out of the cover...

Yeah its got aftermarket covers on it but they aren't "high rise" covers as such. Just the standard height. Seems like a good idea though, ill pull the motor out and give it a gentle massage. Thanks mate

Pulled the motor out again and gave the rocker cover some clearance. Recommend anyone with a v8 not using the vs booster. Stick with the vlt or vl v8 booster if you want to make life easier.

Yeah I took about 10mm off the rocker cover and clearance checked it against the rockers. Had no probs with it but ive got aluminium rocker covers on it so they arent very strong.. You might have trouble trying to clearance an alloy cover.
