Hey all the fuel pump in my n/a 30 is playing up, a Bosch 044 is a straight plug in replacement if I'm right, will I need to install an adjustable reg or will it be fine without?

will be fine without. however the 044 is not a direct replacement. Its a higher pressure pump and you have to get fittings to suit you hose's. you want a 070 for direct replacment

I've been advised that without the adj reg there will be to much strain on the injectors and they will bugger out in no time at all? So all standard rubber lines will hold up to the job?

i just did this. upgraded all fuel lines( rubber e85 compatible ) and clamps. standard fuel reg and rb20det injectors. seems to be all good. i modified the original bracket for the 044 and it all lined up but i have noticed that that my panhard rod is scuffing one side of pump : ( so i am going to just go with one good intank pump. prob just a later holden v8 intank pump for me. just my 2c and good luck !!!!

I got a vn/vp intank to my surge in the boot then out of that into my 044 in original position, I got rid of that reg thing or whatever it was next to the pump and all the rest is stock. No panhard probs or any other probs at all. Been like that since 2004

yeah i think i might have modified it wrong. yes i did take dampner off i flattened the curve ( of original pump) and put pump on diff side of mounting plate ? so i could use the the mount that came with the pump. WOGPSI is yours in the original curve of 070 pump? would you have a picture of your set up? its my first car i have attempted to modify in anyway so its pretty rough rounds edges !!!! cheers

Cheers well i fitted one incorrectly to the standard housing that i had flattened to mount with the 044 bracket but has been hitting panhard rod !!!!!!! supposedly people have just moulded the origial pump housing to put the 044 into but i mucked around to much with it. i did like the noiseness of it though. so i have got a deutchewerks dw200 to use as intank only pump.
