So i got this a year and a bit ago off the guy next door because of the broken trimatic. It came with a black 202 carby in it with exhaust and a little work, under 500$ i thought why not im keen for a project. So here it is an 85' VK with decent condition interior and a bit of rust, just another car to the house So the goal for the project was so slip an rb30 in while keeing the inside and outside looking stock i grabbed an rb30 complete engine, intake and loom with ac compressor off a mate for 250$ it was out of a vl wagon but he sold the turbo gear. Then my other mate that drifts had a spare stock rb25 engine and box out of his mates crashed r33 skyline... So he sold me the complete head loom and box for cheap.. But thats for later So goal is to build a fully forged rb30/25 setup running decent turbo gear for a sleeper street car aiming for 450hp at the wheels. I also have a VT break upgrade ready to go on, a vl kframe and engine mounts, and a VL fuel tank. I also have a mint condition blue interior just like my stock one i found for 80$ with all seats, dash and everything. So now it was time to start this thing with getting it straight! One whole week to strip and put this thing in primer was all it took every afternoon after work, with a few extra days to source a new bootlid as mine was full of rust.. All the panel work was done by my mate who is a panel beater by trade at his house then off to his work for paint in booth. then to my mate Cromies around the corner {who sold me r33 stuff} to get my front guard ariel shaved and a little peice of body welded up Then before we started to rip this trimatic out to replace with a new one (to get regod after paint with stock 202 and box) we did a skid in it after some beers were had good times Final outcome, straight as then celabratory beers and fire in the street Now to source my secret paint colour then off to the booth, then the engine build starts, will keep you updated Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Paint got done last night! Two pac paint custom colour.. 30% matte on clear coat, i was super happy with results Now time to put her back together with my new interior get her on road and build this rb30det setup Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Almost put back together. Im just looking for some info/ advice on my engine build, im building an rb30det with a rb25 head VVT, i know ive gotta weld up the vvt already. And i habe some parts listed below, and have been researching on how i should forge this bad boy. Im aiming for 450hp first then to up the boost from there, im going 5 speed manual and want to run a GT35/40 or GT42, i dont mind bit of lag or what ever and even though this will be daily driven i won't mind the bigger turbo.. Just want to know how i shouls forge this, dont mind going all out as im not taking any short cuts and the block and head and already appart. Should i stay standard bore? What size? - port polish etc - dont know how i should go about head feel free to post advice - thinking of Power FC as where my mate works thats their main ECU Drive line NEED/GOING - VLT diff? I already have a 28spline mini spool here - VLT tailshaft? Not sure if vk one will bolt up Breaks HAVE - VT big break upgrade FUEL System HAVE - VL fuel tank as my Vk is carby NEED/GOING - fuel lines - fuel pump, bosch o44???? - surge tank? Well here is the update. Ive Swapped Interior, Mocking up Double Din H/U, VZ SS Wheels, and got her on the road. Still need to get rear bar mould, Finish tint, and lower her. Saving to build my Rb30/25..
