Ok so i got bored and jumped on VicRoads and looked at the exemption list for P platers. Put in VL Commodore and got this... So you can't have SL, Berlina, or Calais turbos (obviously) You can't have SL or Calais Wagon turbos But you can apply to get exemption for the Berlina Turbo Auto Wagon... Why is that? Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

It just means you can apply for a exeption it doesnt mean ull get it... The wagon has always been applicable for an exemtion, just like a vs stato supercharged 6 but im yet to see anyone get one

been covered in the vic section a while back. it'd be a unique combination of weight vs power. I'd think the calais wagon would be also exempt but as there were only 200 plated calais wagons made its likely they don't acknowledge them. the berlina (i believe) had the full powerpack as factory however most were made with powerpack delete options for dealers to sell. i recon the extra weight of the wagon and the power options on manufacturer tare versus the reduced rwhp using an auto would combine to make it one of the slower vl turbos. anyway not 100% certain on the berlina powerpack option and some clown will propaly try to start an internet war with me over the statement but it would explain the exemption.

My point is, why is only the berlina wagon eligible? What's the difference from the other wagons? ---------- Post added 09-08-13 at 22:56 ---------- (Reply to VL EXEC) ---------- Post added 09-08-13 at 22:57 ---------- And siroller just answered the question There you go, you learn something new everyday
