HELP: vl loss of power

Ive recently converted auto to manual And when I get down to half a tank At 3000 revs power cuts out and is hungry for fuel Ive read the thread about the fuel tank hoses and using high ethonol fuel eats the rubber Or could.it be the auto computer? Because when I turn the car off its back to normal I am un sure

Sounds like a dead in tank pump or the hose that links the pump to sender has been eaten away, this happens at less then half a tank as the fuel level is below the external pump
