Blowing smoke and big mis

hey, got a rb30 a8 was running fine until done oil and filter change now its running like a pig!! blowing a fare amount of smoke and a fare bit of moisture comn outta exhaust!! b4 done this got new plugs,leads cap,rotor,coil!! any ideas just weird happened basically straight after oil change!! its happening under load!!

what kind of oil did you put in it? how many ks has it got? try some hpr 10 oil penrite brand ..... i had the same problem with mine a couple years back and that fixed it they like to run on thing oil i have realised, stick 20-50 in it and itll smoke and miss 5-50 or mobile 0-50 and it runs like a dream

I put mobile 15w 40 its done think 180.000kms hpr10 is that full synthetic

Go back to the oil you were using before and stick with it.Some cars do not like change.(brand of oil I mean) Cheers Marty

You changed spark plugs? Is it only missing on boost at high loads? Sounds to me like you plugs need gapping down.

yeah cheers man only prob is its the 1st change since got it and cant get onto bloke that sold it!! gonna try some hpr 10 fully syn and see if it makes a diff!! ---------- Post added 02-07-13 at 14:12 ---------- yeah changed na its missing on idle & load basically just running like s&8t someone said maybe gap them down 0.8mm wat is everyone gapping @ basically stock with just cooler and boost 12psi

.8 is what I find works for me on all my turbo cars. Reseat all you sensor connectors too as you might have jnocked a plug when doing your last service.

still no go!! running hell to rich, black smoke, chucked a cts in no luck went ova all connectors?? I dunno if maybe injectors or reg maybe?? doing my head in!!

Check you have not knocked any vacuum hoses or leads off while changing the filter

ive had a good look around the filter and vacuum a and everywhere cant sus it out checked all plumbing etc I put an intank pump in it a while ago if I didn't fit it 100% not correctly in swirl pot could this cause it to run rich!!
