I need a tailshaft to suit a th400 into a vn, yeah not a vl lol...but basically same underneath and there are plenty of guys on here running transbraked trans equipped cars so this should be the perfect place to ask. I am after advice for what direction i should go, and what sorta price id be looking at, or what you guys are running, what you have paid and where from. the first problem is that the trans has a transbrake so has to be up to the task to handle the abuse from that (and 550-600rwhp, with semi slicks.) second problem is im not sure whether to go 1pc or 2pc, i assume 1pc will be cheaper than a custom 2pc as a 2pc will also require more components like custom centre bearing (f100 type). Id prefer a 2pc over a 1pc as i wont need to mod the trans tunnel, but not if its going to be like twice the price, and not as reliable as a 1pc cheers.

I got quoted 2-2.5k for a complete custom to handle that power, was also told to stay with the 2pc.. that was for my vl too 3sp. was a bit much. So I just got mine lengthened with h/d bearing and unis. cost $340

I got mine built from Melbourne drive shafts to handle huge power give them a call mine was 450

Indrotech in hallam vic. Thats the same place that quoted for the full custom job. I just opted for the cheaper version.
