Hey guys, My mate and I put my new extractors and 2.5"catback onto my N/A RB30 VL today and it was all going perfectly. (Didn't even snap any studs!) But after we finished putting it all on, I went to start it and it wouldn't start! It was cranking fine and it sounded normal but just wouldn't start. We did some checks, fuel was fine but it didn't seem to be getting spark so we checked around, tried testing a bunch of things like jump starting, checked the dizzy and all plugs seemed fine but the only conclusion we came to was that the coil died because it had 11.5V going in, (Should be 12V but we'd cranked it a fair bit etc) but nothing coming out from what we could tell. I was just wondering if we're right in assuming it's the coil by the sound of that or if anyone knows anything else it might be? It does seem weird that the coil would have died when we weren't doing anything related to it. Shouldn't have anything to do with the O2 sensor because it's just not getting spark? Car's currently sitting at my mate's house so I need to get it running so I can bring her home and see if my new exhaust actually sounds any good!

Yes. I don't think the O2 is the problem though because if it was it should still start but just run badly right? I have a short bit of video of the car cranking if anyone wants to hear it but it probably isn't too helpful. ---------- Post added 15-04-13 at 22:49 ---------- Anyone got any advice? I'm not sure if its the coil or the CAS but I'm hoping its the coil ---------- Post added 16-04-13 at 14:08 ---------- Found the problem this morning! the lead from the CAS to the coil had faulty connectors on it, bent them back to normal and fiddled it on and she started running! sorted it self out after some idling and light driving and is running perfectly again and my exhaust sounds beautiful.
