hey guy n girl im about 2 rebuild my rb30 n i got alot of rb parts im planning 2 use acl bearing n not sure on ring , ive got a set of rb30e pistons n a set of rb30 a8 pistons n rods , not sure if i should use the a6 pistons with arp rods n use a cometic gasket with arp head studs or rebuild it using rb30et pistons n use genuine head gasket n arp head studs , n got a crow tx2 cam comp springs n cam gear already planning 2 use gt35.63 rear , n e85 , wat is your suggestion ?
apart from needing about 48mm minimum for the waste gate as you wanna use a small ex-housing. The turbo and NA bottom ends are as good as each other BUT,
the A8 pistons are dished and the A6 aren't therefore it will be cheaper to get a standard head gasket and build up the A8 route.
fuel and turbo choice with that cam should be singing sweet at 400HP on 18psi at a wild guess. haven't tuned that exact combo before but I calculate that 1000cc injectors would do the trick. naturally ensure the fuel supply and return is sufficent.
