Hi guys,
I have the 16s, on a SOHC rb30.
I was just wondering, can the microtech be easily set so that if the ecu is powered but ignition is on, the fuel pumps will only prime for a set amount of time?
Would be much nicer to just have the computer control this than have to have a seperate relay and timer.
Essentially all I want is to turn the car onto accessory, have the fuel pumps prime for 6 seconds, then stop, until the car is started.
I have the book somewhere, but I cant locate it at this hour.
Cheers,
Jack
I'll have to double check,
I'm currently rewiring the boot stuff now because I wasnt happy with it.
Power directly off battery, goes into 30A fuse. then goes to relays in the boot.
Yeah good, then the fuel pump trigger from the Ecu triggers the relays?? If so then they should be turning off pending the relays are wired correctly/the right type. I have never looked at a microtech program but there should be a setting for how long the pumps prime for.
awesome, thats exactly what I wanted to hear. I havent had a chance to prime them up to double check will wire them up tomorrow to make sure it's all good.
it depends how the microtech is powered, it's pretty simple
as soon as the microtech sees 12v it will prime the pumps for a pre determined time
after this it will only supply a signal via the fuel pump trigger if it sees a crank signal
from memory it is the pastel green or light green for the fuel pump trigger

i got a microtech lt16 n they prime bout 20 seconds then stop too.. so mayb tgere wiring issue?
for the 16s I had a look at the book and there are all different things that sound like they could be what I want, does anyone know what setting it's actually under?
I'm assuming the system has been wired as recommended by microtech...
Mine seems to prime for as long as it feels like at the moment, but usually it's about 10 seconds.
