hey guys just bought a torque power hi-rise manifold and 1000cfm t/b to put on my 383 vl.. anyway long story short it came with a ramflo air filter...and i really hate it lol so im lookin at air filter options... i was lookn on the net the other night and found one i really liked. im pretty sure it was a k&n filter that was like cone sort of shaped but had a chrome extension peice on it if that makes sense? ive looked on google and k&n site but cant find the same one.. anyway i wanted to know what manifold and induction you guys are running that fits under the bonnet? or if it dosent by how much? any help would be greately appreciated... Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Hey mate, It's possible to get it under the bonnet, it's just a massive pain in the ass. I'm running a torque power big paw with a 1050 dominator and managed to get it under a standard VK group 3 bonnet scoop. You could possibly run a VL Group A style scoop and keep the originality, or standard look, your going for. Regardless I still had to shave the manifold an inch or so, and then make a completely flat filter base. It's super super tight....but it fits!

I used to run the 355 with Harrop single plane manifold in the VH and then the VS . Had a 2 1/2 inch k &n filter drop down base . There was about 15mm between needle seat lock screw and bonnet

This is my setup, no carby spacer, small filter, wouldn't even fit under a group3 scoop, had to get it customised abit higher. I don't mind though, clears the gauges now aswell.
