Could be a stuffed fuel pressure reg, go to start it an see if its flooding, put the plugs out an see if there fouling up and or really wet

Try check the voltage drop at the injectors if ur useing a led or noid light to check injection pulse it can give a false reading since they use 1.2 volts to light up where the injectors have a high resistance and may be doin nothing . Can you fell them pulsing ? ---------- Post added 11-01-13 at 22:28 ---------- Even try swapping the efi relay with another . Does ur car have the reverse polarity relay fitted near the back of the alternator ? I've seen them play up with water in it . Are the headlights strong ? Jus eliminating bad contact @ fusible link .

Sounds like fuel mixtures for what ever reson, it starts with the spray down its lungs so timing an ignition seems ok.

ive got exactly the same problem with me vl at the moment...fuel pressure to the fuel rail and plenty of spark, cranks but wont fire..pulled the plugs out and they are bone dry. im goiing to get the injectors cleaned or replaced and see what happens. im assuming they're gum varnished up from fuel thats gone bad. there nothing else it could be other then ecu which i will also change soon.

Jus eliminating bad contact @ fusible link . how do u test the fuseable link? headlights arn't working at the moment but i think thats because i replaced the globes with xenon but havn't installed the proper xenon power supply thing yet. ---------- Post added 12-01-13 at 10:22 ---------- Quote: Originally Posted by Wkd_Vl [View Post] i had a similar issue. there is a relay near the battery loom for the injectors. try replacing it which relay is this exactly? i thought you might be onto somthing as i just repainted the engine bay around the battery and took them out to paint but i've just replaced all the ones around the battery with those from a working vl, and no difference.

The reverse polarity relay Is between the alt and the battery . Part of the loom goin towards the starter motor . Jus bridge the thick wires n see if she starts . I'm guessing ur fusible link is good since U have fuel pressure . ---------- Post added 12-01-13 at 13:01 ---------- Quote: Originally Posted by Wkd_Vl [View Post] i had a similar issue. there is a relay near the battery loom for the injectors. try replacing it Yea the reverse polarity relay . Try google it sum models don't have it I've wired mine out . ---------- Post added 12-01-13 at 19:09 ---------- Quote: Originally Posted by wlk21 [View Post] how do u test the fuseable link? headlights arn't working at the moment but i think thats because i replaced the globes with xenon but havn't installed the proper xenon power supply thing yet. ---------- Post added 12-01-13 at 10:22 ---------- which relay is this exactly? i thought you might be onto somthing as i just repainted the engine bay around the battery and took them out to paint but i've just replaced all the ones around the battery with those from a working vl, and no difference. The relay is on the loom goin to the starter or right near it may be taped up . And it's a metal bodied relay like the pop up headlight relay . It has a small resistor on the ground side that useually brakes if works done near it
