hi all just need help i am putting a rb25 turbo out of a r33 gts into a vl. How much work is there to do for swap over i have looked on the net it said that i could use the rb30 engine mounts it all should bolt straight in i am useing a mx7 box i have been told that i have to use a r33 clutch and r33 pressure plate and r33 fly wheel????. and can i use the cooler pipes off the r33???? will the LSD fit in the diff housing of the vl??? can i use the brakes off the skyline???? if u could help me that would be great cheers.

cooler - no the pipes wont work, but is a good starting place and might only need little mods.
Diff - no wont fit
Brakes - will with a lot of work, not worth it at all better off going VT, same stud patten rotors and can get adapter brackets.
clutch - R33 clutch/flywheel if its better, you will need to use the starter from R33 also then. But the MX7 bos factory uses 9.5" fly wheel where the R33 will have 10" some people need to grind a little from the inside of the bell housing to make the bigger fly wheel to fit, some dont.
the motor change will be very easy as they are basically externally the same motor. id try VL mounts first but im not 100%.

u have 2 use vl engine mounts powersteering pump lines , r33 aternator , use the vl clutch n flywheel as there different size , hardest part wiring

wiring is easy - do a search. took me 2 min to find how to do it and 30min to acctualy wire it up and get my car running.
on the rest - DO A SEARCH!!!!!! IT HAS BEEN COVERED A THOUSAND TIMES

Wiring is easier for some not others like myself vlwagonit its always been a hit an miss for me some times it works sometimes well I'll leave this part out ************in *****

Other way round Matty, R33 = 9.5", MX7 = 10"

oooops your onto me haha. yeah my bad.
the 9.5" are better as there is heaps more clutch options out there..
So yeah.. the R33 9.5" will go straight in perfectly.
