Hey guys, As above, whenever I put my foot on the brake, there's a hissing sound coming from the booster, it's not a hose but inside the booster itself. It causes the car to rough idle if it's in drive and occasionally it lets out a huge hissing sound when driving (the first time it happened, I thought I blew a tyre.) but when you come to a complete stop it goes away and you can continue driving. I have another booster in my other VL which I won't need for it and so if I swap them over, would that be a cure? Or could the problem be more serious?

had the same problem once before and all i did was replace the seal o ring thing in the booster and it fixed the problem right away. I dont know much about the boosters but im guessing thats what seals the rod going through the booster so just try that first. cost me 15 dollars to fix but i also ran new brake fluid in her. so probly cost 3 bucks

As it only leaks when foot on pedal i'd put my money that the diaphram has torn just swap out the booster with another problem will be fixed and may as well flush the brake fluid while your at it
