Bored as fuark and a couple people have asked me to so decided to throw up a quick write up on my latest vl Ended up with this one after being offered it from a mate too cheap to say no to, its just an exec mocked up as a calais, all genuine ****, s2 grey calais interior, all the usual stuff. this is the only pic i have of it as it looked when i bought it Bought it having just a standard turbo setup (which i installed a few months earlier for the mate i bought it from) and a shagged mf5 manual box, besides that everything was stock as a rock, 25 spline single pegger etc etc I had bought it a week out from cruise for charity so i thought id get it looking at least half decent and going a bit better so i could take it on the cruise, chucked a front mount on and slapped together some piping to suit, put a boost tee on and cranked it up, gave it a good buff and threw my AME pridors on it. From far it looked decent! Took it on the cruise, raced my mates cammed ve gts and pretty much kept up with it, i was happy for what the car owed me. C4C I then came to a sudden realization that powerplay was coming up. I'd got my hands on a gt35 and a couple of other goodies and decided i wanted to slap it together for powerplay Three weeks out from the event i pulled it all down and started making my list of all the **** i needed, it was within the next two weeks that followed that i compiled all the parts and put it all together and made it work! I ended up finishing it at 4.30am the morning of powerplay and i was at the track by 6am lol Off the top of my head these are all the goodies i threw at it: hot side: GCG/XTR GT3582 ebay hi mount stainless manifold tial 38mm gate with double springs (18psi) made my own 3.5" dump pipe 3" cat back all new exhaust manifold studs cold side: custom forward facing n/a plenum xf throttle body Fuel system: 2l surge tank siemens 850cc injectors 2xbosch 044 pumps sard fuel pressure reg fuel system is all aeroflow push lock series fittings annodized fuel rail Engine: arp head studs cometic head gasket tx2 cam and heavy duty valve springs microtech lt10 with x4 ignition box and hand controller falcon coil pack stock a6 bottom end Gearbox/Diff: r32 rb20det box (now has an r33 box after i munched the rb20 one) detroit tru trac mechanical locker stock 2 piece tailshaft intalling head studs ready for new cammed head box of bits to make my dump first part of dump replaced the .5 front and .7 rear with a .7 front and .82 rear So i just ran the car with the tune that was on the ecu from the previous car which had a similar setup, i had to play around with the fuel a bit but i got it ok, just stuck a pyro in it and made sure it was rich enough and i ran it like that just so i could go blow tyres off it. Which i did! had a ball and car didnt miss a beat, was blazing 3rd gear all day! So then a couple of weeks later we went to try and tune it and it just munched the gearbox so it had been sitting ever since untill a few days ago i put the 33 box in and brought it home now im stripping it, smoothing the bay and respraying the whole car. Glad you repainted the bay, was the only let down. Looks great now! What happend with the rocker cover? Cbf taking the fittings and oil cap off? Or do you prefere the all white look? Top job p.s i think a wrinkle black rocker cover would look sex. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Ive seen this car a couple of times in my area, saw it a servo near my house as well. Looks so mint mate, the supersports look especially nice.. Also saw it down my street im sure you were just making sure the 3litre was coming on boost properly... Nick. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Car looks great man! Just wondering how that ebay manifold is holding up? Any dramas with it? I have one I'm tossing up either to use it or junk it

How's this thing going man? What suspension your running all round? Sits nice? And like guards rolled/pumped? Shortened diff like wanna know how you had it sitting so mint on Simmons which where wide as?

getting a make over bro, choppies all round and yeah the diffs cut 50mm a side. had 9.5" wide rears also imporved my MPH at the track to 124 with the 410rwhp tune so should see a 10 soon also put this ****ter on e85 since i updated this thread Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
