Basically if its not standard, it won't pass unless you have an engineers certificate and it passes emissions and db testing etc.

Pretty sure there is one day a week you can take it down to Sturt Police Station to get the rego changed to SA rego. I have heard they just make sure all the numbers match up and if it looks stockish and neat they pass it.

SA vis wont pass anything that isnt exactly stock , my snap-on dealer couldnt get his mustang rego transfered from nt rego because it had shelby rocker covers and the air filter didnt have the snorkle pointing out the front . Best easiest way is to get a local cop numbers inspection in the county, but you'll probably need to take the injectors rail and any other shiny look at me i'm a defect stuff off. On a side note i went to buy a gemini back the day that had sr20 turbo conversion all the go fast bits under the sun showed the inspection station the add for the car asking if i'd be able to transfer the rego he said flat out NO its got a 4 point roll cage which could cause head injury in an accident he didnt care about any of the go fast bits mind you this was before the hoon laws etc of today. Plus this is sa the defect state, end rant not trying to start arguements just my experiance and opinion

You will need to engineer all that gear before you have any luck having that registered in SA.

It's been engineered in NT and T.A.C approved! Mmmm emissions test not sure about that! Mmm I can't run the standard rail with my ecu and its got a 26 head on the 30, mmmm maybe I should just leave it in NT rego and just get it put over the pits at Alice each year! Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Depends if the engineers documents are recognized australia wide? That'll be something you need to find out. Moving to SA?

If You want SA rego, just buy a cheap VL with SA reg and swap everything between the number plates.

This^^^ unfortunately you are ****ed!!!!, the sturt cop station thing finished long ago its down south now..and as soon as they see mods, they automatically send you to regency and butt **** you... you will never ever get that registered here, engineers report or not..so you better come up with another plan unfortunately.. cheers darren ---------- Post added 12-12-12 at 19:45 ---------- Quote: Originally Posted by Weezy [View Post] Depends if the engineers documents are recognized australia wide? Where are you moving to in SA. Under the current NT rego, do the the rego papers have a chassis and engine no on them? If so I may have a solution.

I gotta do this in the new year also and goin off their website transfering rego isnt one of the requirements to get an inspection done. That is if the car is regod in your name in another state and ur simply changing it to SA rego, still in ur name, then you may not need to go over the pits, simply fill out some paperwork. But as always its best to get the answers straight from the horses mouth and call them. I know i will have to soon to know what im in for. ---------- Post added 13-12-12 at 14:31 ---------- http://www.sa.gov.au/subject/Transpo...pection+tier+2 (http://www.sa.gov.au/subject/Transport,+travel+and+motoring/Motoring/Vehicles+and+registration/Vehicle+inspections/Interstate+vehicle+transfer+-+identity+inspection+tier+2) this seems to say that only need an identity inspection 'unless' you have the car registered in your name in whatever state ur coming from

If vehicle is registered in your name interstate and is currently registered it doesn't need an identity inspection if your transferring rego. Just bring in current rego papers from interstate when you apply for the transfer. If it isn't in your name, our it isn't registered at the time, bend over for an ID inspection. You'll will get raped. BTW, I'm the horses mouth.
