g,day, my tuner recommends me to drill a hole into my dizzy cap and run a vacuum line to the inlet manifold with a one way valve inline to cool things down. Has anyone else done this? or should i convert to coil packs? i run a 42 single headed rb30 with a msd spark amplifier and msd coil. Anyhelp? cheers

I had the exact same issue with mine when running a Crane hi6. Since converting to coil packs I'm thinking it may have been due to the bad timing jitter the car was getting and putting the rotor phasing out. I spoke to Crane a couple of times and they said the only way the rotor button would be melting was due to the phasing. A crank trigger will probably solve your issues
