So ths is my first thread, I have recently done a conversion to my 5spd Formula. T3 turbo, FMIC, brakes, leads, plugs, filter, CAS, turbo injectors, turbo ecu, plumback BOV (no dose only half wog), 3 core copper core radiator. All lines are fitted properly minus the oil return as the thread on the connection to the block is slightly damaged dropping tiniest amount of oil. To the point my mechanic and I had it running nicely than before I could even drive it than when it warmed up it began to misfire and die but only when warm, after scowering the net over and over I changed the rotor cap and arm no avail, sprayed the plugs with contact cleaner no avail, than I changed the CAS purred like a kitten missed a bit but not a huge amount to notice and only at idle under boost it was fine. It ran for 3 hours solid didnt miss a beat was giving it a little not dropping the clutch or anything. Than today I get in it drive give it a little wasnt really warm (i should have boosted it) bring it home go to leave and it does the same thing again chokes dies now it wont start at all. Changed the power transistor connected to the distributor and nothing thinking it might be that. Had some white ish smoke come out from underneath the car clutch and gearbox seem fine, the smoke was only for 10-15 seconds than stopped. With the head if it was cracked I assume it would start but would b a tart loss of power, the heat levels being low 30's drove the temp gauge just on halfway nothing bad. Ive checked all connections sprayed with contact cleaner checked coil. Running out of ideas. My mate said that maybe it the fuel pump/s they surge but when i got out of the car tonight i could smell fuel, but that doesnt explain the tiniest of oil on the drivers side, could be power steering fluid. Apologies for the length of the thread, just need my car running as my rents are moving interstate. Have a short fuse now, little bit tidious. Any ideas would be somewhat great. Will do the ECU diagnostic this weekend being the 24/25th Nov. Thanks.
