Hi guys just have a question I'm about to buy a 2 speed power glide off a member on this forum. His saying it's brand new never been used but don't know what to look for if it's rooted is there a way to tell. And how to tell between a trimatic and power glide?

Big difrence between glide and tri, but as for saying its brand new well check to see if its got oil if its brand new and never used then it should be dry as a bone, other than that ya going to have to take his word for it, ask who did that auto and give them a call ask for the receipt from when it was built

With a Powerglide the transbrake should be a big solenoid at the back of the box, can't miss it

Did they say it has a turbo input spline? maybe check that too, especially if it has a transbrake. 30 splines for turbo, 17 for standard 'glide.
