Recently purchased a Genuine 5.0 series 2 VL
March 88 build date.
The car has been set up to run injection.
I currently have almost everything to go with it minus the engine.
Loom has been wired up for injection etc.
All I need is an engine now.
Question is I have a trimatic, Standard vl v8 tailshaft and 3.08 diff.
What do I need to dump in an injected 5 litre.
I have been told the block needs to be redrilled for the trimatic stud pattern. Is this true?
Is there any easier ways of doing this? Can i get a different bell housing or something?
Will post pics later tonight..
you can get adapters to change the bolt pattern.
why not ditch the traumatic and get a turbo box.i had a turbo 350 in my vl and it fitted straight in. the turbo 400/700 will need a tad bit of hammering in the trans tunnel to fit
Cause I already have the box and the guy I bought it off stated that he has the adaptor and that I just need to pick it up.
Just wanted confrontation first. Thanks
Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Why not keep the trimatic.
Why not put the cam and injected top end on a trimatic pattern block or buy one with VN heads already and bolt the bunch of bananas etc on? You can buy the heads and above off a vn 5L cheaper than a single plane second hand..
