G'day
Im looking at under car surge tanks for my wagon atm and i was wondering if anyone had tried these ones and if they fit or not?
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/undercar-...em 35c0b95956 (http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/undercar-ally-surge-tank-bosch-fuel-pump-bracket-race-/230866639190?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item35c0b95956)

I am interested in an undercar surge tank for a wagon too. Where do you plan on mounting yours? Are the box shapes as good as the round ones? I am worried that it might have unusual flow characteristics causing air pockets that may starve the engine of fuel. Just an idea which is not based on any experience though.

How could this be the case? thats the whole point of having the surge tank.
The lift pump makes sure there is always enough volume in the surge tank so that you can draw as much as you need, in reality the surge tank is basically full at all times? Consider it as a secondary fuel tank that is very small, and designed to always have enough fuel in there to keep your main pumps 100% fed.

yeah both the jd custom and red star ones are the same price and fit in the same place.
only thing is im worried about where the pump would have to be mounted as my drive way at home is pretty steep with a big bump at the top.
and a boot mounted surge tank is out of the question as i dont want fuel inside the cabin

JD Custom one:
From memory I think it wasn't lower than the tailshaft.
Going by the pictures, it wasn't.

Did he offer to replace it / fix it? Did you leave negative feedback so other users were aware?

Could you please post a photo or two up? I will host them if you don't want to.
