Auto conversion question??

Hey guys in the process of converting my vlt to auto. It's a jatco 4 speed and there's a barb onto of the auto, not sure if it's a breather or if it's meant to connect to a vacuum line?? if anyone could point me in the right direction would be great. Cheers

Vacuum to the firewall side of the intake manifold.
