Looking at 2pac'ing engine when it's rebuilt to get things looking a big better under the bonnet. Does anyone know someone sor who can do this? Had one quote for $1500 which seems outrageous.

are you talking head(rocker cover) or block? not that its really any different... but a few people here have had success doing it themselves with cans and an oven... Then again one of them was Jack, possibly the dodgiest person in history.

Pretty much the whole lot will be done. I don't have an oven as motor will be built in a shed at home, nor do I have heat lamps, but can you hire them easy enough? Looking for this kind of look, minus the chrome: Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Mate I wouldn't do the block as mine whole engines done In 2pac after 1-2 years of weekend driving its starting to flake off but everything else is fine just the block is the only thing flaking off

If you're doing the block yourself then just like most other things its all in the prep. If there are paints good enough to do exhausts etc with then the block should be more than ok. But if you just pull a rusty block out of a donor car and unleash cans onto it you're gonna have a bad time.
