My car is hard to start in the morning I can't hear the fuel pump buzz anymore. Was wondering if it takes a couple of times to start. Is it the in tank pump or the external ?

it's the external pump that you hear and it initially runs to build up pressure in the lines, if you turn the ignition on but not start the car and then off and on again it wont have to run again because the pressure is still there,
