As title states, my VL needs the windscreen cowl welded or something. I was quoted $750 best price at a place. $160 just to remove and reinstall the windscreen. Does anyone know some places where it's a bit cheaper than this?

you can do it yourself if you can mig weld. remove the old screen, buy a new cowl panel, cut the old one out, treat the rust and grind and clean up the area, drill small holes in the new panel about 100mm apart all the way along where the original spot welds were then sit the new panel in there and plug those holes up with weld then grind the weld flat and prime and paint. bit more work than that but thats basically how it goes.
