I currently have about 440 RWHP and ran 1/4 mile 11.8 @ 126mph. Current mods, Forgies, Mid port Head had with double oversize springs/valves, 660 CC injectors, 6boost mani with GT35/40 (internal gate), custom twin TB into a Nizpro cooler (replace radiator location), PWR radiator, 3 n1/2" exh, Fully worked Jatco 4sp (at it's limits) with rev manual V/B, LSD 3.9's. I have a new HEAD INCLUDES- FULL RACE PORT AND POLISH, CHAMBERS CC'D RACE VALVE SPRINGS,LARGER INTAKE AND EXHAUST VALVES NEW VALVE SEATS and Hypertune intake port to suit to replace the Twin T/B (waiting to go in) and a fully worked C4 on its way. Currently i have a Crow Cam installed (I dont have the specs with me but can find them if need). So any help on what Cam i should get would be great, this is just a weekend car (more a strip then street). Cheers,

Best i think would be a custom grind, give James a call at Kanaras race engines and will sort it out for u Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Bigger isn't always better with a cam unless its a full on race car. The idle might sound cool but it makes the engine really doughy down low due to the lack of compression off boost. Something around the size of a Wade 818b is perfect for a street car which see's the occasional trip to the track. Plenty of cars have run easily into the 10's with similar size grinds to that

street around 220 @.50, if you really want to race it more, something with 230@.50 would be around the mark, maybe you could go bigger, i would have thought if you went much bigger with a 3540 you'd be flogging a dead horse and ruining the response that the 3540 is known for, with not a lot of top end gain and ,i would have thought it would be better to upgrade turbo instead i would have thought if youd wanted to make the setup more top endy. having said that, a auto/converter can mask the loss of low end if chosen properly Be interesting to see who has tryed bigger than 230@.50 cams/3540 and thoughts/results. cheers darren

Bigger isn't always better, couldn't agree more but a custom grind would be the best match up depending on what application your using. Also always remember when ordering any cam to save money u can have advanced or retard set to ur personal preference prior commencing cam grind depending on wether its more for down low torque your after or retard for more top end. Just incase you don't want to spend the extra money on a pulley.

too right, if you have a larger stalling then tweaking the cam timing a noth can do just the trick.
