i just pulled the power steering rack out out of my vl calais and went to put the manual rack in and the holes dont dont line up. the guy that sold it to me said it was a vl manual steering rack. im thinking its from a v8 though, does anyone know if the v8 vl steering racks are different? the intermediate shaft fits perfect that he gave me but just not the rack. ---------- Post added 10-09-12 at 15:57 ---------- its ok, i just spoke to a steering joint and the bloke gave me a part number which identifies it as a vk manual rack, so thats why it wont mount up properly. i hate running into hiccups like this!!
