http://www.theage.com.au/victoria/vi...906-25ge5.html (http://www.theage.com.au/victoria/victoria-no-longer-the-place-to-be-20120906-25ge5.html) Quote: Victoria's history of uplifting number plate messages came to a screeching halt today when the government announced a new slogan aimed at reducing the road toll. The new number plate slogan "Vic stay alert stay alive" is part of a State Government bid to promote road safety. Previous messages have included "Victoria - on the move" during the Kennett era, "Victoria - garden state" and "Victoria - the place to be". Premier Ted Baillieu said the new slogan built on the state's reputation as a world leader in the field of road safety. Still haven't heard anything about when your Z plates run out. Perhaps switch to #LLL### like WA?

There would be someone getting paid a lot of money to think of a slogan like that when in all reality no one is going to read it and think 'oh wow, I had better snap out of it and stay alert and stay alive, thanks vic govt'. Should change it to 'Victoria - The place to be fined'
