car fell short on the dyno, was put down to dodgy valve springs, engine has a tx2 camshaft with stocka springs (my fault) does anyone know what valve springs to recommend. lift is 0.483 on both inlet and exhaust cheers
expensive springs? do you now where to get em?

also do you now the specs on the standard valve springs? would be interesting to know cheers
I don't know where to buy them. Just had the engine builder do the work & ordering of parts. Have a search on ebay. He had brought Manley Race springs, valves & retainers.
Standard RB30ET cam valve lift is Intake .252(39.537 - 39.727mm) & Exhaust .252(39.537 to 39.727mm).
you carnt just put them in the need to be done by a shop as the installed hight and seat tension need to be done properly otherwise it wont be rite and the tx2 was designed by jpc
I had the spring pressure checked to ensure consistency throughout. then i measured the installed heights due to the 3 angle valve grind and had shims to suit the additional seat height. The additional shim was also not going to create coil bind which will show in the spring test. Then you can put them straight in took me about 2 hours with a mate, compressor and valve spring compessor tool.

i used the same , in one of my old VLT's and possibly the best combo of cam and springs ive used to date

its not just about the installed hight they have to have the correct seat tension is as important

What vin-vlt did is correct, I helped him. It is completely about installed height as that is what determines seat pressure.
Each spring was tested at its installed height and open height for its spring pressure on a spring tester, The each spring was shimmed to within 0.005" of determined installed height.
