when installing the fmic do you still retain the metal crash bar behind the front bar or do you remove it?
is it legal to cut a hole in the inner guard near battery tray to route the piping, or where can i get it engineerd?

You need the bumper bar reinforcement, that's kinda what holds your bumper bar onto your car... so don't get rid of that. A front mount intercooler will fit in behind that, infront of your radiator.
There are a couple "no holes" intercooler kits going around (at least there were a few years ago when i was stuffing around with vls) So maybe look into one of them if you wanna keep things legal.
Remember all you need is for a cop to "suspect" that something isnt legal and they can send you to regency. so try to keep everything fairly simple (or well hidden)

i got through regency with a front mount, but as said no holes kit and dont cut or remove the reo bar. pod filter is legal so long as its mounted too
