Wondering if anyone can help me.., my mx7 box is on its way out and want something stronger. Been told to get an r33 box but wanna know whats involved in the change over? Is it a basic swap? Would my tailshaft need to be changed etc??

Yeah easy as, more or less bolts up. Need a N/A Starter motor, N/A Sandwich plate, or die grind the holes for the starter motor mounts out for the MX7 plate. R33 Slave cylinder, and clutch. N/A Flywheel. I was told on the weekend that the MX7 Yoke fits in the back of the R33 Box, but im not sure, I havent tried. All you would need to do other wise is swap the yoke off an R33 tailshaft onto the MX7 tailshaft. Mounts, bolt holes and everything else line up perfect.

I'm using the mx7 tailshaft fits fine the r33 slave cylinders are expensive but you can get a brand new one for a landcruiser for 25 bucks and drill the bolt holes out
