Can anyone point me in the right direction, I just need to know the differences between the vl models, like the aero, the LE, series 200?

200 series vl's are gold came out in 88 only and is distinctly noticeable by the small lip running along bumpers and their australia flag badge on the car. the car also came out with number plates when originally registered with 1788 - 1988 (but that was across the board with alot of cars that year not just this vl . the vl limited edition ( LE ) was basically in the sl's optioned out with the exclusion of power windows, different head rests, interior trim, and the sl versions came out with silver bars apposed to the traditional mx grey in the sl series . the only really special thing about vl sl le's are their sticker to be honest though. Vl limited edition calais (LE CALAIS) was a product of hdt, This car was a fully optioned out calais with all the goodies and look to match, the le calais where special in the sense that they only came out single tone, not two. the lipped body kit all round, lip spoiler on the boot and letterbox grille are just some things to mention apart from all the le badges around the car. VL Calais Director Price when new: $55,000 (base Director) $87,000 (with all options taken) Number built: 9 Year released: 1987 Engine: 4.9-litre V8 or 5.6-litre “stroker” V8 Transmissions: 5-speed manual or 4-speed auto Power: Estimated at 220kW (4.9-litre) and 231kW (5.6-litre) Torque: Unknown for 4.9-litre; 536Nm for 5.6-litre Interior highlights: Controversial Energy Polariser; Recaro or Paratus leather seats; Momo steering wheel; woodgrain trim; HDT sound system including CD player; in-car telephone Exterior highlights: Unique 21-piece body kit; Momo or Simmons wheels; optional independent rear suspension Other VL Brock models: Group 3, Aero, Sport, Calais LE, Corsa, Bathurst, Sandown, Mt Panorama & Designer series Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

the best way to decifer differneces yourself is learning how simple the SL commodore is, and compare the models from that car.
